Short thoughts, work in progress, lessons learned, & the occasional personal update.

You know what makes doing this stuff worth it? People who still remember you and refer you even if you haven’t spoken in a long time!

Just got an inquiry from my site. Turns out someone I spoke with 2 years ago referred them. As a small service provider, that kind of thing means a lot 🙂

Late night timelapse of us getting things done. I don’t know why, but I always feel more productive at night.

Also, I just recently got that standing desk, and I can’t appreciate enough how helpful it is when you’re getting older 😂

Currently redesigning the website of a flooring company based in Erina, NSW.

See those long page designs? It’s still Wednesday but I guess I’m gonna be working even on the weekend 🥲

I’m not sure if this is just me, but handling web projects + creating content at the same time is kinda stressful.

Especially when you’re working on it alone. Still grateful for it though.

Just analyzing the new project brief.

He is very easy to communicate with, listens carefully to what you want, and goes the extra mile to make sure everything turns out even better than expected.

We’ve seen noticeable improvements in overall quality, organization, and presentation.

The output was more polished, engaging, and aligned with our goals. There was also a clear boost in efficiency and customer engagement after implementing his work.

The Task

This project is all about improving how guests book their stay online. The client already had a website, but the booking process felt confusing and manual.

The biggest part of the work was adding a booking system to the existing site. I made sure the booking flow feels natural and simple. Guests can check availability, choose dates, and book without feeling lost.

I handled the web design and development of all booking-related pages, including room listings, room details, cart, and checkout. My client’s main goal was making the site easy to use for first-time visitors. The design focuses on clean layouts, clear information, and easy-to-spot buttons. Everything matches the hotel’s brand and helps guests book faster with less effort.

Please note that this project focuses on the booking system integration. Existing pages and sections from the original website are still in place. Read the full details here.
